Orrest Head


Starting with Orrest Head located in Windermere. It’s a quick walk from the Village located near Windermere train station. It's a 3.5km round trip with an accessible route to the top. Once you have reached the top, you are rewarded with 360 views over Windermere and central fells. This is one of our favourite walks and we highly recommend it.

Surprise View & Ashness Bridge


For 300 years, visitors have been attracted to this location where rainwater flows from the fells down into Aira Beck and cascades in a 65-foot drop over the falls. The falls are located in Matterdale, Penrith, near Ullswater.

Aira Force Waterfall


For 300 years visitors have been drawn here, where rainwater runs from the fells into Aira Beck and thunders in one 65-foot leap over the falls. Located in Matterdale, Penrith just by Ullswater.

Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's House


Discover the world of Beatrix Potter - a beloved place filled with her favourite things, left just as she wanted it for visitors to enjoy. You'll see why she loved it so much, and how the surrounding countryside inspired many of her famous children's tales. This place is so special that we have a dedicated tour just for it.

Tarn Hows


A perfect walk all the family can enjoy with majestic views and peaceful walks. It’s a beauty spot you must visit, 1.5-mile path surrounded by thick woodlands and views. Located only 2 miles from Coniston.



Loughrigg Fell


The walk starting out at Ambleside Church is located on the outskirts of Ambleside. Loughrigg Fell is a 6-mile loop that offers stunning views of the fells and Grasmere and Rydal water. We highly recommend this walk for a fantastic day out.

Sizergh Castle


Located on the outskirts of Kendal, this beautiful medieval house is surrounded by rich gardens and history. The house is still lived in by the Strickland family who built it over 750 years ago. Filled with thousands of items collected by 26 generations of the family the house certainly feels lived in, with centuries-old portraits and fine furniture sitting alongside modern family photographs. This is a fun day out for families to explore and enjoy together.
